Japenese car runs on water (video link enclosed). Can you re-check?
Jun 26 2008, 1:56 PM EDT Can you please re-do the myth about cars running on water? Here are some links claiming this can be done: Reuters article (about Japense car that runs on water) http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=84561 The HHO controversy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5EMoLMzB-Y HHO Inventors site: http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/354/C8115/ I may not believe every schematic or book that claims this can be done their way (by buying the plans)... but I do believe it is possible. Can you research this more? 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 26 2008, 5:20 PM EDT "Can you please re-do the myth about cars running on water?Yes, it is possible to break water (H20) down to Hydrogen and Oxygen by relatively simple methods. I did it in high school chemistry class and several times since for various purposes. Yes. Hydrogen burns rather well and can be used as a fuel. No. It cannot possibly be an economic success because the energy potential of the Hydrogen produced will always be less than the actual energy it took to produce it... otherwise we have "over unity" or, more popularly, "perpetual motion," which I personally doubt. The only economicly feasible method would be a source of "free energy." If we had that, why bother with the middle man, just use the free energy. 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jul 24 2008, 8:57 PM EDT "Can you please re-do the myth about cars running on water?I'm getting really sick of hearing about cars "running on water". They run on water in the same sense that a normal car runs on dead animals. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Japenese car runs on water
Aug 20 2008, 11:17 PM EDT Therein lies the problem. We hear so much ballyhoo from flimflam artists that it gets very difficult to pick out one that could hold promise. Bigfoot and flying saucers have the same problem. :o)) The Japanese "water car" appears to be a fuel cell <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_cell> as has been used since the '70s in some rather specific applications. In such case, any breakthough would most likely come from a method of using water without prior breakdown to Hydrogen and Oxygen. The catch, of course, is a thing called "over unity." You can't wind up with more than you started with. Intrinsic losses will make sure taking water apart will use more energy than you get by putting it back together. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Japenese car runs on water
Aug 21 2008, 11:44 PM EDT Well i'm not sure that it would be perpetual but i think if you used the heat from the engine to heat the water then put it in an electrolyzing device to break it down but dont just run direct current to it but use different frequencies of alternating current then use the hydrogen and ox mix and run it with the gasoline to see if it can improve the mileage of the car.
