RE: Jamie
Feb 15 2008, 12:27 PM EST You have to notice how reserved Jamie is even with his own cast members. Not everyone is comfortable being the "outgoing" person that Adam appears to be. Reminds me of a week spent on a location shoot for the Film Fair Game when they shot on our property in Homestead...the scene where Cindy Crawford jumps on the train. Cindy and Billy Baldwin..totally different. I would not call Cindy rude but she is pretty withdrawn in public...did her scene and ran to her limo to go back to her trailer. Billy, on the other hand hung out. Joked with everyone. Helped the crew move stuff, and when it was a wrap he, I and the crew had a great rotten tomato fight. Very outgoing and friendly to everyone. Not everyone is the same so is "rude" a correct word. Probably not really. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Jamie
Feb 15 2008, 1:04 PM EST i bet if you walked up to some other guy you would have gotten the same reaction. its not his fault. some people dont like strangers coming up to them. for all he knows you could have a shrine of him in your closet and all you need to complete it is his moustache. just take it easy. think about how many people he might encounter that do the same thing every single day. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. RE: Jamie
Feb 15 2008, 1:58 PM EST I do not care if it is any of the cast. Rude is only an interpretation of what you THOUGHT....and your thoughts are flawed by the person you THINK you see every night on TV. I am so glad that the fans of the show understand that Jamie is who Jamie is....he is not a STAR?DIVA etc. he runs a business that is getting interupted by things outside of his control and he has to deal with them. I own my own business and am not fond of interuptions to my day at all, AND I used to host my own TV show as well, thank goodness no one rememebers me on the street I would probably tell them to get a life! 2 out of 3 found this valuable. RE: Jamie Rude?
Feb 15 2008, 7:20 PM EST Jamie is not an actor as stated above. He is in the lime light only by virtue of the Mythbusters. Adam is a frustrated and very smart clown and I think he loves his role. Let each be who they are. I am sure that Jamie is one of those people that takes a little while to warm up to new people but to those who know him well I am sure he is a good friend and probably a lot more "fun" in private than in front of a camera. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. RE: Jamie Rude?
Mar 5 2008, 4:35 AM EST gee , thats what happen to me when my 5 film was a big hit, people keep coming up to me and asking me a lot of dumb things about the film, after a while, I gets rudy at people that bother me, or want a picture of me, it's like i don't like that flash, i see a dark spots, from camera flashs, it enough to get me very mad, but i try to keep control, but just sometimes i just lose it, crap happens, my doctor wants to give me pills to settle down, i don't want the doctors pills, there should be a place were i could go in a field an just scream, haaaaaaaa, as loud as i can scream, that would make me feel a lot better sometimes, but you can't always do that, people call the police.......roady 1 out of 4 found this valuable. RE: Jamie Rude?
Mar 5 2008, 6:05 AM EST Wow, everyone was quick to jump all over the OP and defend Jamie, LOL. Here's a thought: maybe Jamie *was* rude at the Best Western. Meh, we're all human and have our moments. To the OP - I hope you don't stop watching the show because of this experience! 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Jamie Rude?
Mar 5 2008, 7:34 PM EST I was about to jump out there to defend Jamie too, but amy's right, maybe he was. But ya know, aren't we all from time to time? Maybe something was just pissing him off that day and he didn't want to deal with another star-struck fan. I still think it was Jamie being Jamie. If somebody ran up to me going "OMG I luv your work!" I'd probably say "Um......thanks?" 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Mar 7 2008, 1:38 PM EST Here's a question, is a fan being rude when they expect certain things from a person who just happens to be on TV? Is it the 'TALENTS' job to entertain on and off camera? 0 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Mar 16 2008, 10:53 PM EDT "Here's a question, is a fan being rude when they expect certain things from a person who just happens to be on TV?Actually, I don' t think it is. You can be gracious to your fans without being "on" all the time. I, for one, would never approach someone for an autograph unless they were at an event promoting something (i.e., at work). I saw Bill Cosby completely lose it on a woman in a nice restaurant because she interrupted his meal. I thought he was such a jerk for years, but now that I'm older, I realize she was being totally obnoxious to the man while he was paying good money to relax with his family. 2 out of 3 found this valuable.
