fuel a car with water
Name of Myth: Water car?
History/Background of the Myth: Similar stuff has been tested on the show, but this seems interesting. I can't remember if this specific unit was tested: http://www.runyourcarwithwater.com/?hop=opmind&gclid=clzqt4--zpicfritagodyhfjgg
Hypothesis of the Test: I think this idea acnnot possibly work or else it would be commonplace already.
Ideal MythBuster(s) to Conduct the Test: B list
Best Method to Conduct the Test: buy stuff, install stuff, test stuff
My Prediction: Busted/Confirmed/Plausible (choose one)

Adam and Jamie tested this already we now it won't run a car, but can it really improve your gas mileage. Looking over the print on the web sight it does look similar to a water injection system. Could a simple water injection system improve your mileage and would a cars computer be able to handle it? Most water injection systems are used to increase the fuel octane. They eliminate spark knock a costumer recently pulled in and his truck ran for a full minute after he got out said he reset the timing for better gas mileage. Witch caused a problem refereed to as dieseling. I thought of water injection to solve this problem. Then I thought of this add. Anyone tried water injection to improve mileage in a modern car.
Do you find this valuable?

I read the article again and found a problem. It says you burn the HHO and the only "exhaust" is water. Well HHO+O=H2O2 i.e. hydrogen peroxide. How do know gaseous H2O2 isn't a ridiculously powerful greenhouse that's 5x more powerful than methane, which is 24x more powerful than CO2 (that works out to 120x more powerful than CO2). Also, what happens if you breath in H2O2? Also also, what is H2O2's effect on the ozone layer?
Or do I not know how this works? |
