Name of Myth: 1947 Roswell UFO Crash

History/Background of the Myth: In July of 1947, a UFO crashed in a farmer's field outside of Roswell, New Mexico. Both the farmer and many reputable eyewitnesses attest that this UFO was of extraterrestrial origin and that the government covered up the incident with a bogus "weather balloon" story.

Hypothesis of the Test: Scientific investigation and a reenactment will deem the myth busted, confirmed or plausible.

Best Method to Conduct the Test: Find any surviving witnesses who were involved in the Roswell incident and submit them to polygraph tests. Also, recreate a weather balloon crash and see if the resulting scene would compare to the eyewitness reports.
