Seasons, dates, a special or not a special but named as a special...
Hi everyone. Is it just me or is it really complicated to follow this series season / episode classification? It shouldn't be rocket science guys.
Normally all television series have well defined seasons associated with the episodes. For MythBusters, this is even clearly described by Jamie Hyneman as he says a the beggining of the first "Viewer Special". Jamie said (and I quote EXACTLY) "Since the beggining of season 5, or the Hindinburg Episode, we have been appealing to you for ideas."
We have reputible television websites that list the seasons and their episodes and almost all of them are completely different. Some run from January 1 to December 31st. Others run from Fall to Spring.
Discovery Channel actually have just listed them from the begging as Episode # and a few out of series production specials?!
Then there are "special" episodes that are located in the "special" or unnumbred section and out of series. But then there are specials that are part of a particular season. AKA: "Baseball Special" and "Superhero Special". But not the "Mega Movie Myths". Uh, ok.
I am not being negative, but simply really confused. One wonders how Discovery Channel actually orders this series from Beyond Productions!
For example, http://www.beyond.com.au/television/catalogue/science_n_technology/5.html#mythbusters_series_ lists it as Series 4, Running time: 28 x 60 minute episodes + 1 x 60 minute special and 1 x 120 minute special.
Well, I believe that something has got to be done to standardize the nomaclature of the proper OFFICIAL SEASON, and EPISODE NUMBER.
Can't anyone involed with the actual production come up with the right information? Discovery Channel, Beyond Productions, etc??
It would be a great idea for all of us fans here!!
Thanks everyone.

Just how do I add Pictures Like those of Kari Byron, Mcgyver etc
To start a Fantasy Mythbusters Team:
1. Go to http://mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com/page/Fantasy+MythBusters+Team 2. Click the "Add a new page" option in the Page Toolbox on the right. 3. Name your page. Ex: Randy's Team 4. Select the "Fantasy MythBusters Team" template from the template dropdown menu.
To fill in your new page:
1. Click the "EasyEdit" button at the top of the page to write directly on it. 2. Under the "Members" section, add names of who you would want on your team. 3. If you want, add some pics of those people next to their names. You can do so by following these directions: * Delete the gray placeholder *Click the "Image" button on the EasyEdit toolbar *Upload the Image *Add a caption, if desired, and press the minus or plus button to resize your image 4. Under the "Myths" section, come up with some myths your fantasy team would like to test and tell us how they would do it! These can be myths that the show has already tackled or new ones that you would like to see.
For a few examples, check out these MythBuster fantasy teams: http://mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com/page/Amy_C%27s+Team http://mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com/page/Patty%27s+Myth+Bustah+Brigade http://mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com/page/Randy+A%27s+Fantasy+Team http://mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com/page/Bchu%27s+Buster+Bomb+Squad
See? It's a lot of fun! Be creative!
Have any more questions? I'm here to help, as always.
Amy :)

Dukes of Hazarf
"Wouldn't this myth of the gourge be not busted because they know all of the roads and couldn't they have put wheights in the back of the car to balance out what the car's engine would be in the front of the car?" If you were a fan of the show as a child and wanted a 68 or 69 dodge charger as a Young adult. then you would know they destroyed a lot of them. One per episode was the average. The stunt drivers did put weights in the trunk. If you catch a re-run watch the rear quarter panels and trunk lid buckle with the landing or the front ball joints snap. Even when they re-used the jump scenes and switched to small scale cars in the later seasons they still totaled out a lot of cars

???
She starts Season 2 and ended Ibelieve when Season 3 started. It is stated she left for personal reasons (someone citing loveon IMDB but who knows if that's reliable) and another speculating it was cause she kept getting injured or because in one myth she wouldn't jump aseveryone else did even though a producer told her to. Again, this is all speculation, the only thing we know is it's "personal reasons"
Scottie left cause she wasn' happy with the hectic filming. But she appears in some episode after she "left." I'm guessing there is no ill will she just wanted more free time?

Plausible?
I don't think this experiment was conducted to its fullest potential and that the results which were concluded are questionable. Here is my main reason:
Albino or naturally white animals are *extremely* rare in the wild. Even (most) naturally white animals only have their white coats in the winter, shedding them to reveal a darker coat in the spring (foxes, rabbits, weasels, etc.). This is because it is beneficial for them in their given environment. Those naturally white white animals that do not change coats depending on season, usually live in a habitat that reflects that kind of coloring (polar bears, snowy owls, etc.). Color is vital to survival, allowing the animal to either blend in with its surroundings or make it clear that it is not one to be messed with. This all brings me to my point: basing the answer to this myth solely on the elephant's reaction to a white mouse isn't doing the myth its proper justice. I agree with one of the previous posts: that mice of various colors, especially the more natural brown, should be tested to make the result more reliable. There are mice and other small rodents scurrying about the African bush, so they shouldn't be such a shock to resident wildlife. However, an albino critter would more likely be eaten before coming face to face with a savanna giant. The other poster suggesting to expose other small animals to elephants has a good idea, but I don't believe it's relevant to this particular myth. The myth explores the idea of elephants being afraid of mice in particular, not other tiny wildlife.
