Computer On or Off - Follow-up to Episode 69 Lights On or Off?
So, I have not heard of the myth about Lights persay - but everyone always insists that you should leave your home PC on all day if you will be on/off periodiclly as it consumes more energy to power up a PC than let it hibernate.
In Episode 69 - they determined that the max time between flipping switches for most consuming lights was 23 sec. So unless your a school teacher constanlty flipping the switch - its more energy efficient to leave lights unused off.
How about computers?
How long would a PC have to remain off to make it more energy efficient to shut it down?
