Myth Title: Awning Fall (from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom)


Myth Description: See if you fell down the side of a building, would you survive if there was some awnings to break your fall.


MythBusters on the bust: Full Team (Jamie, Adam, Karie, Tory, Grant)


Hypothesis: If you fell off a building and you fell through a couple of awnings, you would survive.


Procedure/Experimental Design: Get awnings and mount them to the side of a building (abandoned bomb shelter), put shock watch stickers on Buster and drop him through and ssee if he survives or not. Later, real stuntmen come and show how it would be done in the movies.


Results: Buster survived, but had broken leg(s) and/ or arm(s).


Conclusion: If you hadto jump of the side of a building, some awnings might save you life (instead of death, broken arm(s) and/ or leg(s).
