Seasons, dates, a special or not a special but named as a special...
Hi everyone. Is it just me or is it really complicated to follow this series season / episode classification? It shouldn't be rocket science guys.
Normally all television series have well defined seasons associated with the episodes. For MythBusters, this is even clearly described by Jamie Hyneman as he says a the beggining of the first "Viewer Special". Jamie said (and I quote EXACTLY) "Since the beggining of season 5, or the Hindinburg Episode, we have been appealing to you for ideas."
We have reputible television websites that list the seasons and their episodes and almost all of them are completely different. Some run from January 1 to December 31st. Others run from Fall to Spring.
Discovery Channel actually have just listed them from the begging as Episode # and a few out of series production specials?!
Then there are "special" episodes that are located in the "special" or unnumbred section and out of series. But then there are specials that are part of a particular season. AKA: "Baseball Special" and "Superhero Special". But not the "Mega Movie Myths". Uh, ok.
I am not being negative, but simply really confused. One wonders how Discovery Channel actually orders this series from Beyond Productions!
For example, http://www.beyond.com.au/television/catalogue/science_n_technology/5.html#mythbusters_series_ lists it as Series 4, Running time: 28 x 60 minute episodes + 1 x 60 minute special and 1 x 120 minute special.
Well, I believe that something has got to be done to standardize the nomaclature of the proper OFFICIAL SEASON, and EPISODE NUMBER.
Can't anyone involed with the actual production come up with the right information? Discovery Channel, Beyond Productions, etc??
It would be a great idea for all of us fans here!!
Thanks everyone.

Ring Punch myth flawed
I liked the episode for the most part, but the Ring Punch Myth really bothered me. They busted the myth, but then how come when you get hit in the head with a baseball it will leave stitch marks? (I know this from experience) Is this not the same concept? I was thinking that maybe it was because the pig skin did not have blood running through it or the ring they choose to use was not ideal (the one they showed on tv looked too flat but maybe they used the other rings and that footage was not aired). I have seen myths before that i have not agreed with the outcome but this one really bugged me because my own really world experience i believe proves the mythbusters wrong and it seems so obvious. But i still love the show keep it up guys.

Nasa - Myth?
I am one who is very cautious about believing what our government feeds us - including this early moon landing footage.
First, while watching the show - the 'howstuffworks' caption raises one good point... "Why are there no stars in any NASA footage?"
I also think the Mythbusting team did a great job in replicating the footage and scenarios such as the photos of shadow as well as the vaccum tests. Actually, I think they did too good of a job.
What I mean is, they proved that they could create photographic 'proof' of having visited the moon. If Adam, Jamie and crew can replicate the footage in their studio, how can that 'disprove' the government from doing the exact same thing.
Now, I did see the observatory laser event as well... and the hard thing to digest there is the precision of the laser on such a tiny part of the moon which allegedly contains the reflective lenses. If an observatory can hit a mark that small - then they can find the mark that small. Show us the view of the reflective Apollo 15 lenses... oh wait - she said repeatedly Apollo 15... but Neil and Buzz did their supposed landing during Apollo 11... hmmm!
Still too many holes allowing for credible conspiricy (and the fact that the Mythbusters could duplicate the footage on a set works to confirm the myth as well)

Greek Fire
I think that they shold visit this myth because there are many plauseble ways to doubplicate this senario back in B.C. Like if they could use sodium not table salt and combine it with low moisture tar than water would chemicaly combust and hypatheticaly would ignite the tar and since it is patrolium based it could't be put out by water. Both of these materials were found back then and it is simple enough to just remember and never write it down on paper.
