these dogs are Alaskan malamute's sometimes confused with Siberian husky's they look alike it's very hard to tell them apart, but there are different from each other, but we have lost one of our dogs she was laying on the floor and never woke up, we are very sad these days, but we hope that she is in a better place........maybe by our sides in another way..........
any ways i have trained these dogs with steak, i get lots of steak for them these days, i have stopped eating ground walking meats due to that cloning thing, now a days i only eat deep water fish that i can fish for, in the past i have trained dogs to be drug sniffing dogs, but i give them to the police for the drug training, it's very hard giving your dogs away, it just kinda breaks your heart sometimes, but there going to a good cause, but i have stopped training dogs for the police , i miss them every day, it has bin very hard on me to give away puppies, i am a dog person, i have had a few cats, they just look at you when you call them, not like dogs, well people keep up the good work, and have more fun, and try to have a great fun day................ed |

| mattwashereonce | Foil the bloodhound. | 0 | Feb 13 2008, 4:57 PM EST by mattwashereonce | |||

After watching the episde and seeing how difficult it is to foil a bloodhound and its handler. There is one thing I would like to try. In this episode we learnt that dogs track humans by smelling the dead/dry skin cells that fall off of us wherever we go. One day I propose that Adam or someone brings some lotion like Vaseline with him and runs into a stream again, while he is standing in the stream, he could completely cover his body with the Vaseline and then run up or downstream. The purpose of the liberal Vaseline coating is to prevent the skin cells from falling off, and the purpose of the stream is to have one scent going in, but to not have any scent going out (because of the vaseline). Does anyone think that this escape method might be plausible? You could keep coating your body to prevent the skin from drying up.

| K9paw | Bitch urine in season NOT totally confirmed! | 2 | Jan 4 2008, 10:42 PM EST by BuzzRock | |||

Although in this experiment the intact male dog was diverted by the scent of urine, this is NOT a reason to confirm this myth. Unfortunatley several fatal dog attacks have occured because of a bitch in season. This scent can actually increase the aggressive tendencies of an intact male. Infringing on his territory while he scents a bitch gives a male MORE reason to guard his territory as now his basic primal insticts will emerge, protecting his rights to the bitch.
I believe that this myth should have been more thouroughly investigated, especially because of the documented fatalities due to intact male dogs reacting because of a bitch in season. I disagree, this myth is not confirmed and it is dangerous to imply that it may be.
