| ORIGINAL AIR DATE: April 23, 2008 SYNOPSIS: The MythBusters go to Alaska to test the biggest, snowy-est, icy-est myths around. | |
| Myth #1: Dynamite Dog Some drunk guys were in Alaska and one of them just got a new SUV. They were trying to go fishing in a lake that was several feet frozen over. One of the guys lights a stick of dynamite and throws it. The dog, thinking it's a stick, chases after it and takes it right underneath the car. The dynamite, along with the dog, blows up, sinking the SUV under the ice. Myth #2: Moose Mayhem If you are driving in Alaska and you are about to hit a moose, you and your car will get less damage if you speed up than if you slow down. Myth #3: Cabin Fever Can staying in a cabin in the middle of an Alaskan winter make you totally lose your mind? |
