Name of Myth: Cell Phone Chaos
History/Background of the Myth: It seems everywhere that you go now adays that cell phones are banned. Hospitals say that the transmittion interferes with the medical equipment, electronics labs say there is also interference. Also, what is the reason that you can't use the cell phone on an airplane? What studies have been conducted in these fields to see if cell phones can actually transmit enough power/RF to have an effect on electronics. They are also prohibited near explosives (wink, wink).

Yeah. Like when I went to Camberra Deep Space Network, they were strict on phones, radios, PDAs, Wi-Fi and any transmitter.
