Myth Title: Buried Alive


Myth Description: A person's wife was buried. Her husband had the same dream each night for a while. His wife was actually buried alive and was trying to escape. Finally, he goes to the grave yard and finds her alive.


MythBusters on the bust: Adam and Jamie.


Hypothesis: ----


Procedure/Experimental Design: Adam and Jamie took turns being "buried alive." They went into a coffin, had dirt poured on them, and had the CO2 levels, blood pressure, and heart rate tested.


Results: After about 45 minutes, the CO2 level got dangerously high.


Conclusion: A human can't last more than 45 minutes being buried alive.

There is Just one thing wrong with that, the casket does not go directly in the ground. The casket goes inside a concrete box which prevents the wieght of the earth on top of the box from putting weight on the casket. I don't see how the myth was busted the experiment was ended too early to get good results. Jamie's heart rate went up because the casket was caving in over his head.

I just seen only one thing wrong with the myth. When I was watching the show," I saw that you put Jamie in a casket , the casket was suppose to go in a vault then they are buired."

This is one stunt I wouldn't have gone near. I can't believe they buried Jamie alive, lol.
